Ledyard National Bank helped to keep our community warm over the holiday season by placing “Mitten Trees” in their banking offices. Community members were encouraged to decorate the trees with hats, scarves, mittens, gloves and socks. All donations benefitted the Upper Valley Haven.
Two of Ledyard’s locations in Hanover along with their Lyme, Norwich, West Lebanon and Lebanon offices collected the items throughout the month of December. In early January, Jennifer Fontaine, Director of Community Services at the Upper Valley Haven, picked up the eight large boxes of collections. The winter items were quickly claimed by Haven customers who needed them to keep warm.
