Ledyard National Bank CEO Re-Elected to Board of Boston Fed

Kathryn G. Underwood, President & CEO of Ledyard National Bank, was re-elected to the Board of Directors at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston (Boston Fed). Her new three-year term began in January 2012.
 
The Boston Fed is one of twelve regional Federal Reserve Banks. These banks, along with the Board of Governors in Washington, DC, constitute the Federal Reserve System. 
 
In her second term on the Boston Fed’s nine member board, Ms. Underwood will act as Chair of the Fed Board’s audit committee. Additionally, her role includes acting as a liaison between New England’s regional banks and the central bank. She will help set the nation’s monetary policy by representing the concerns of the banks in all six New England states, and reporting on their economic health as well as the health of the overall regional economy.
 
Ms. Underwood joined Ledyard National Bank in 2005. Prior to that, she was District President for Key Bank/Maine where she had been employed for over 25 years.
