Christopher J. Taylor
Senior Vice President & Chief Retail Banking Officer

Chris joined Ledyard in 2009 as Senior Vice President and Chief Retail Banking Officer. He has over 36 years experience in the financial services industry, with employment at Scarsdale National Bank & Trust Company, The Bank of New York (BNY) and Hudson Valley National Bank.
 
Chris began his career at Scarsdale National and during the next 17 years, he served in various capacities including CFO, COO and finally as President /CEO. The bank was acquired by BNY, where he spent the next 16 years and was responsible for their branches in various geographical areas in metro-New York leading to overall responsibility for all Retail Banking. Chris then spent three years at Hudson Valley, initially as COO and later as EVP-Business Development.
 
Chris has served on numerous boards including New York Business Development Corporation, New York Banker’s Association, Westchester County Association, Ferncliff Cemetery and Pace University.
 
Chris earned his B.S.-Finance from Siena College and his M.B.A.-Finance from Iona Graduate School for Business.


Kathryn G. Underwood
President & Chief Executive Officer

Kathryn G. Underwood joined Ledyard National Bank in 2005 as the President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Ledyard, she spent her entire professional career with the Key Bank organization in Maine. She started in lending, first with credit and workouts and then as a commercial lender for small businesses.

She then spent the next twelve years in wealth management at Key, with responsibilities for managing the function for the state of Maine.

Finally, for her last five years at Key, Kathy served as KeyCorp's District President in Maine with responsibility for all retail and business banking in the state. Key was a $2.5 billion operation in Maine with 64 branches.

Kathy serves on the Boards of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, the New Hampshire Bankers Association and Kendal at Hanover. She is Vice Chair for the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Upper Valley Corporate Council.

Kathy has a degree in Economics from the University of Southern Maine and she is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).


Jeffrey H. Marks
Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer

Jeff Marks began his career in Financial Services with American Express Co. in 1997, where he focused on customer acquisition and loyalty marketing. He was responsible for launching several of their premier internet-based programs that received praise in multiple publications, including The Wall Street Journal. Prior to American Express, Jeff worked in Retail as a Buyer for Saks Fifth Avenue.

Jeff’s areas of expertise include direct mail marketing, internet campaign promotion, sponsorship & event marketing, and client experience program development.

Jeff is a graduate of Cornell University where he earned a BA in Economics. He received his MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, with an emphasis on marketing and management & strategy.
 


Martha P. Candon
Senior Vice President & Manager of Business Development 

Marty Candon has over 30 years of experience in retail banking in the Hanover community. Prior to joining Ledyard, as one of the original team members in 1991, she worked in various Retail positions at Dartmouth National Bank and its successors.

For eighteen years, Marty was the Senior Retail Banking Officer. She was responsible for the retail area of the bank and played a key role in establishing all of Ledyard’s branches, and in developing all retail products and services.
 
In January, 2010, Marty was named the Business Development Officer, a newly created strategic position.

Marty is a graduate of the New England School of Banking at Williams College. She has been active on a number of Upper Valley organizations, including CHaD (Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth), United Way, Hannah House and the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce.

Robert T. Boon
Executive Vice President & Managing Director,
Ledyard Financial Advisors


Bob Boon has over 30 years of investment, wealth management and private banking experience in New England. Prior to joining Ledyard National Bank he served as Executive Vice President at TD Banknorth Wealth Management where he was responsible for Private Clients and as Executive Vice President for CCBT Private Banking at Cape Cod Bank & Trust. He began his investment career at State Street Boston Corporation in their Financial Services Group.

Bob’s professional associations include terms as a member of the VIP Forum’s Wealth Management Roundtable, Chairman of the Trust Executive Committee of the Massachusetts Bankers Association, President of the Estate Planning Council of Cape Cod, Treasurer of the Planned Giving Council of Cape Cod and Chairperson of the Sandwich, MA Board of Selectmen.

Bob earned his BA from Bowdoin College and completed the MIT Sloan School’s Executive Management program and the Cannon Financial Institute’s Personal Trust and Trust Graduate programs. He also has held FINRA series 7,24,28,53,63 securities licenses.
 


Gregory D. Steverson
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Greg Steverson has over 20 years of experience in financial service businesses. Greg is a Certified Public Accountant and has worked in public accounting and banking his entire career. While working in public accounting, he performed audits and consulted for businesses in banking, venture capital, broker dealer, mutual fund and mortgage banking. He began his career at Coopers & Lybrand, an international accounting firm.

Greg’s professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well as serving on the Financial Managers Society Financial Institutions Accounting Committee. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University at Long Beach.
 


Darlene E. Romano
Senior Vice President, Human Resources & Finance

Darlene Romano has over 36 years of banking experience in the Retail, Operations, Finance and Human Resource areas of the banking industry. Prior to joining Ledyard National Bank ten years ago, she served as Vice President of the Retail division at Lake Sunapee Bank/Landmark Bank for eight years and was responsible for nine Retail Offices.

Darlene began her banking career at Dartmouth National Bank in 1973 where she worked for five years in several different areas of Operations. She later transferred her banking expertise to Dartmouth Savings Bank, where she successfully began the Proof of Deposit Department.

During Darlene’s 36 years of banking experience, she has successfully completed many different banking, professional management, information technology, human resources and financial management courses. Today at Ledyard, Darlene manages the day to day operations of the Finance area and is the senior manager of the Human Resource department.
 


D. Rodman Thomas
Senior Vice President & Director of Client Relations,
Ledyard Financial Advisors

Rod Thomas began his career in the wealth management business in 1980 at First Vermont Bank and Trust Company.  After heading up that company's statewide fiduciary operations, in 1994 he joined Ledyard National bank to establish its Investment & Trust Services Division, now Ledyard Financial Advisors.

Rod serves as Director of Client Relations and oversees the administration, compliance, management and delivery of trust and investment services to individuals and charitable organizations.  His experience includes all aspects of client service, account administration, and financial, retirement and estate planning.

Rod's professional associations include the Trust Committee of the Vermont Bankers Association, the Connecticut Valley Estate Planning Council and the Insitute of Certified Bankers.

Rod earned his BA degree from Dartmouth College (1970) and his JD from Vermont Law School (1980).  He also holds the professional designation of Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.  




Daniel X. Stannard, Jr.
Senior Vice President & Senior Loan Officer
 

Dan Stannard has worked in the financial services industry for over twenty-five years. Prior to joining Ledyard National Bank, he served as Senior Vice President and Senior Lending Officer of Factory Point National Bank, located in Manchester Center, VT. In that position, he was responsible for directing the bank’s lending activities with a focus on helping business banking clients meet their goals.

Dan’s past affiliations include various not-for-profit positions, including most recent roles as President of the Regional Affordable Housing Corporation Board and President of the Manchester Health Services Board.

Dan has attended several banking specific training programs throughout his banking career. He was a past instructor of American Institute of Banking Courses and continues to teach at the Northern New England School of Banking at the University of New Hampshire.


Darcy D. Rogers
Senior Vice President & Chief Operations Officer
 
Darcy Rogers was one of the first employees of Ledyard National Bank, joining the organization in February 1991 to set up and administer data processing and operations. As Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, Darcy has guided the evolution and development of Ledyard's technical capabilities over these past 18 years. With 31 years in bank data processing and operations, Darcy began his banking career with the former Dartmouth Savings Bank in Hanover, leaving there after an acquisition by another bank to become a systems installation and support analyst for BKW, a computer company founded locally in the early 1980s. Just prior to joining Ledyard, Darcy spent nearly six years as Director of Decision Support Systems for United Vermont Bancorp in Rutland, Vermont, the parent of the former First Twinstate Bank in White River Junction, Vermont.
