Kathryn G. Underwood
President & Chief Executive Officer
Kathryn Underwood joined Ledyard National Bank in 2005 as the President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Ledyard, she spent her entire professional career with the Key Bank organization in Maine. She started in lending and then spent the next twelve years in wealth management with responsibilities for managing the function for the state of Maine. During her last five years at Key, Kathy served as their District President with the responsibility of managing all retail and business banking in the state. Key was a $2.5 billion operation in Maine with 64 branches.
Kathy recently completed a 2-year service on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's Community Bank Advisory Council in Washington D.C. and a six-year term on the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston where she also served as the Chair of their Audit Committee. She currently serves as a Director of the Independent Community Bankers of America and on the board of ICBA Securities. She is also a member of the Upper Valley Corporate Council and serves on the board of the New Hampshire American Heart Association and AHA Founders Affiliate Board where she has also served as the Upper Valley Go Red for Women Chair. She is a Director for the Community Bankers Association of NH and a corporation member for the Montshire Museum of Science. She is a former board member and past president of the New Hampshire Bankers Association and a past board member of Kendal at Hanover.
Kathy has a degree in Economics from the University of Southern Maine and she is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
Gregory D. Steverson
Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer
Greg Steverson has over 20 years of experience in financial service businesses. Greg is a Certified Public Accountant and has worked in public accounting and banking his entire career. While working in public accounting, he performed audits and consulted for businesses in banking, venture capital, broker dealer, mutual fund and mortgage banking. He began his career at Coopers & Lybrand, an international accounting firm.
Greg’s professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well as serving on the Financial Managers Society Financial Institutions Accounting Committee. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University at Long Beach.
Dennis B. Mitchell, CFP®
President & Managing Director
Ledyard Financial Advisors
Dennis Mitchell has over 28 years of wealth management experience, the previous 4 years at Ledyard Financial Advisors as the organization’s Senior Vice President & Business Development Officer.
Prior to joining Ledyard, Dennis was the Senior Vice President for Sales & Marketing for Northern Trust’s New England market. His other positions at Northern Trust include Northwest Regional President based in Seattle, Washington as well as Northern California President based in San Francisco, California. He began his banking career at Peoples Heritage Bank in Portland, Maine before moving to Key Bank in Portland as their Trust & Investment Sales Manager.
Dennis received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Maine and his MBA from Husson College. He obtained his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 1986.
Barbara S. Graf
Senior Vice President & Human Resources Director
Barbara has more than 20 years of experience in creating, implementing and managing comprehensive human resources and organizational systems. Prior to joining Ledyard, she was the Human Resources Director at Downs Rachlin Martin, PLLC in Burlington, Vermont, where she was employed for over 10 years.
Barbara graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Psychology from Trinity College in Burlington, Vermont. She earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources certification in 1998 from the Society for Human Resource Management.
Barbara has been a program co-chair and Vermont Human Resources Association board member since 2008.
Michael M. Parisi
Senior Vice President & Retail Banking Officer
Michael Parisi is a member of the Senior Management Team as Senior Vice President and Retail Banking Officer. Michael comes to Ledyard from Citizens Bank, where he was employed for the past 10 years. At Citizens Bank, he first held the position as a Branch Manager then promoted to Regional Manager, and most recently holding the position as Market Administration Manager. At Ledyard, Michael is responsible for the overall management of Branch Banking, including providing superior client service, hiring, training and staff development. Michael has a BS in Accounting from University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Fitchburg State University. He currently lives in Amherst, New Hampshire and will be relocating with his family to the Upper Valley.
Alison A. Bruce
Senior Vice President & Bank Operations Officer
Alison Bruce began her career with Ledyard in 1999 as a Customer Service Representative. She worked her way up to Branch Manager at Ledyard’s Lyme location in 2001 and then moved into the areas of Compliance and Information Security in 2004. She was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2010, Vice President in 2014, and Senior Vice President in January of 2016.
Alison is responsible for centralizing operational functions, streamlining processes as well as improving efficiencies and customer service. Drawing upon her experience as Ledyard’s Compliance and BSA Officer, Information Security Officer, CRA Officer, Privacy Officer, and Security Officer, Alison is a strong asset to Ledyard’s Senior Management Team.
Alison is a graduate of the Community College of Vermont and holds diplomas in Bank Operations, Commercial Lending, and Consumer Lending from the American Institute of Banking. She is a Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer with the Independent Community Bankers Association, a Certified Compliance Manager through the Institute of Certified Bankers, and holds the Wharton Leadership Certificate from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2014, Alison completed the Executive Education Program through the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking and completed the Executive Leadership and Risk Management Program through the Risk Management Association in 2015.
William E. Kidder Jr.
Senior Vice President & Senior Lending Officer
William E. Kidder, Jr. joined Ledyard National Bank in March 2015 as Senior Vice President and Senior Commercial Lender, responsible for Ledyard’s commercial banking, and was promoted to Senior Lending Officer joining Ledyard's Senior Management Team in June of 2016.
Prior to joining our team Bill spent six years at Merchants Bank as a Regional Manager and Vice President in the corporate banking department working out of Wilder, VT. In addition, Bill worked for three years at Citizens Bank, N.A. as a Vice President in commercial banking. He also worked in commercial banking for eighteen years at TD Bank, N.A., including its predecessors Banknorth and First Vermont Bank, most recently as a Vice President and commercial lender.
Bill graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science.
Michael T. Urnezis
Senior Vice President, Senior Consumer & Mortgage Lending Officer
Michael Urnezis joined Ledyard in August of 2017 relocating from Rockford, Illinois and bringing with him over two decades of financial services experience.
Prior to joining Ledyard, Mike co-founded Vision Mortgage & Insurance Group in 1999 with offices in the Midwest and Pacific Northwest which he managed until 2012 when Northwest Bank acquired the Group. Northwest Bank retained Mike as Vice President of Mortgage Banking and Business Development. Mike moved to Alpine Bank and Trust Company in 2014 as Vice President, Regional Mortgage Lending. At Alpine he developed and implemented a new wholesale mortgage banking channel designed for community banks in the Midwest.
Mike received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Illinois State University and has served on several nonprofit boards including the Rock River Chapter of the American Red Cross, The Parks Kiwanis, and was a member of the Rockford Area Association of Realtors, Independent Community Bankers Association and the Rockford Chamber of Commerce.
Jeffrey H. Marks
Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer
Jeff Marks began his career in Financial Services with American Express Co. in 1997, where he focused on customer acquisition and loyalty marketing. He was responsible for launching several of their premier internet-based programs that received praise in multiple publications, including The Wall Street Journal. Prior to American Express, Jeff worked in Retail as a Buyer for Saks Fifth Avenue.
Jeff’s areas of expertise include direct mail marketing, internet campaign promotion, sponsorship & event marketing, and client experience program development.
Jeff is a graduate of Cornell University where he earned a BA in Economics. He received his MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, with an emphasis on marketing and management & strategy.
Darcy D. Rogers
Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer & Director of Operations
Darcy Rogers was one of the first employees of Ledyard National Bank, joining the organization in February 1991 to set up and administer data processing and operations. As Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, Darcy has guided the evolution and development of Ledyard's technical capabilities over these past 18 years.
With 31 years in bank data processing and operations, Darcy began his banking career with the former Dartmouth Savings Bank in Hanover, leaving there after an acquisition by another bank to become a systems installation and support analyst for BKW, a computer company founded locally in the early 1980s.
Just prior to joining Ledyard, Darcy spent nearly six years as Director of Decision Support Systems for United Vermont Bancorp in Rutland, Vermont, the parent of the former First Twinstate Bank in White River Junction, Vermont.
Cynthia Stuart joined Ledyard National Bank in 2014 with over 18 years of banking experience. She is responsible for managing Ledyard’s seven banking offices and building stronger relationships with the bank’s clients. Prior to joining Ledyard, Cynthia was the Senior Vice President of Retail Banking and Deposit Operations at Connecticut River Bank in Littleton, New Hampshire.
Cynthia earned her B.S. at Trinity College in Burlington, Vermont and her M.B.A. from Plymouth University in Plymouth, New Hampshire. She also attended the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University and ABA Bank Marketing School at the University of Colorado.
In addition to serving bank clients, Cynthia enjoys volunteering with the Granite State Quality Council, Center for Financial Training and Education Alliance, and the Concord Vermont Planning and Zoning Board.
