Ledyard "Mitten Tree" Benefits KLS Community Food Pantry

Feb 13, 2013 -
Ledyard National Bank helped to keep our community warm over the holiday season by placing a “Mitten Tree” in their New London office at 178 County Road. Community members were encouraged to decorate the tree with hats, scarves, mittens, gloves and socks. All donations benefitted the KLS Community Food Pantry.
Ledyard collected the winter wear throughout the month of December. In early January, Ginny Register, Board Chair for the KLS Community Food Pantry, picked up the collected items, which were quickly claimed by KLS customers who needed them to keep warm.
