Make a Difference Day is a national day of helping others that takes place on the fourth Saturday of every October. It was created by USA WEEKEND Magazine and is a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors.
Ledyard employees sought projects that could make a large impact in their communities and volunteered their time and labor at the following non-profit organizations: David’s House, The Fells, Hannah House, The Haven, Lyme Conservation Commission, Upper Valley Hostel and Upper Valley Humane Society. The projects were varied and included painting, cleaning, gardening, trail-cutting, cooking and community outreach.
"Our participation in Make a Difference Day is a way that we can demonstrate our commitment to the communities we serve." said Jeff Marks, Senior Vice President of Ledyard.
In addition to participating in events like Make a Difference Day, Ledyard administers a comprehensive sponsorship and charitable giving program that is involved in human services, community development as well as arts and culture.
