Ledyard National Bank is very proud of the partnership it developed with the Grafton County Senior Citizens Council (GCSCC) in 2014. Ledyard’s “adoption” of the non-profit organization gave the bank myriad opportunities the learn about the organization, its staff and its members. As the outreach project progressed over the course of 2014, Ledyard employees participated in activities that included serving lunch at the Upper Valley Senior Center multiple times per week, supporting yard sale events at the Mascoma Area Senior Center and conducting successful food drives that helped restock food pantry shelves. Ledyard also focused its volunteer activities on providing financial education to the community by delivering a seminar to GCSCC Board Members about philanthropic giving and ways to utilize investments in the giving process, as well as conducting seminars to educate GCSCC clients on topics such as estate planning and fraud protection. Finally, Ledyard volunteered its marketing expertise to help develop GCSCC awareness and outreach messaging.
In addition to our outreach partnership, Ledyard donated a total of $3,885 to GCSCC throughout the year.
“Ledyard National Bank has been an important supporter and wonderful community partner to Grafton County Senior Citizens Council for years,” said Roberta Berner, Executive Director, GCSCC. “They ‘adopted’ our cause as their own in 2014, providing hundreds of hours of volunteer assistance, plus charitable donations. We feel very fortunate to work so closely with Ledyard – an organization that, like us, is locally operated and fully committed to its community.”
