Ledyard National Bank recently partnered with Gateway Motors and Thrifty Car Rental in an effort to collect food and sundry items needed by local Hurricane Irene victims. Vans were used for collection and parked outside of four Ledyard offices: Hanover, Norwich, Lebanon and West Lebanon. Ledyard’s Lyme and New London locations also collected items inside their offices. On Friday, September 23rd, Ledyard employees and clients delivered and unloaded the full vans to the Upper Valley Haven and the Woodstock Community Food Shelf. Both non-profit organizations were grateful for the items.
Kathy Underwood, President and CEO of Ledyard National Bank said, “As a community bank built upon local relationships, we are eager to help the individuals and families in our area that were hit hardest by the storm.”
